Warning! Do not begin this book unless you have several hours to spare and absolutely nothing to do. It is completely unputdownable!

The plot is intricately woven by a master author, luring the reader in with excellent character development and compelling scenes. The villain of the plot is unbelievably greedy and evil, so warped that I actually winced with the characters as they were caught up in this fabulously involved tale of deceptions and lies. I particularly liked the way the villain manipulates even innocent bystanders into their power games.

The desolation felt by Joe as his whole world crumbles around him was especially well written. I could have actually clobbered his wife at one point for being so short sighted!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book by the same author (Never To Know) but this story completely eclipses that showing how the writer has progressed in their craft. I can hardly wait for book number 3.
