This was really different from a lot of the shifter romances I've seen before. The story behind the werewolves was really interesting to think about. Different dimensions and our world "colliding" with theirs so that they combined into one? Huh!

I really liked the idea of that. It made the tension between werewolves and humans different than your usual shifter romance, too. It was more like two entirely different worlds colliding (as you might expect, haha), and created an interesting sort of starcrossed lovers forbidden love situation between Aislinn and Darius.

I liked Aislinn a lot. She was kind of shy, but in a different sort of way? I guess not shy exactly, but she seemed like she kept to herself more and wasn't really forthcoming about herself with anyone. Secretive, I suppose you could say. Darius isn't quite that, but when he meets Aislinn, he might be changing his mind...

They really can't be together. Not only is he a werewolf and she's a human, but her father is an extremely important figurehead opposing the werewolves, so... that's just no good.

The starcrossed lovers aspect of the novel was wonderful, though. The relationship between Aislinn and Darius seemed real and genuine in a different sort of way. It wasn't just a trite fated mates situation, but I felt like they had a lot in common, too. I was really excited for them and definitely wanted everything to work out. They had the kind of relationship that you really hope for, you know?

This was a great shifter romance. If you like shifters, but want something a little different from the rest, this is definitely that! I'd really suggest giving it a read. Wonderful story with amazing characters.

Tabitha is a new author for me, only having read Her Kilted Wolf before this, but I think I can already say I'm a huge fan! Her Forbidden Alpha has conflict in bundles, romance to warm your heart, and enough steam to short out a . Two star crossed soul mates in an unbelievably original world, both more worried about everyone but themselves. But in trying to save everyone else, they almost destroy themselves. This does have a HEA, though I was getting worried toward the end, and it even made me shed a tear or two, which doesn't happen all that often. A book has to be written very well to cause that kind of emotion for me. I'd recommend this for any fan of shifter romance books, or romance fans looking for something new.
FANTASTIC BOOL !!! This book was awesome & deserves a 5 Star Rating , it brings a completely new concept of Shifter / Human co-existence ,I loved this Idea , I hope to read more books from this series . The love that the hero & heroine found thru all their hardship is really heartfelt & moving, the sacrifice that is made, had me crying for them !
I do admit I really wanted to kick the Generals ass for the way he behaved in this book but, I was so caught up in the story that I had to stop & realize that he wasn't real just another character in your wonderful story. I recommend this book to all e-readers & all Shifter lovers it is well worth the time it takes to by it & read it. This shifter book goes deeper than lots of others! The characters are torn between two worlds, two passions, and one insane desire to be together. I absolutely love the way these fated mates come together with all the energy of a good romantic saga.

Tabitha Conall weaves a deeply emotional tale about love, hate, and war. Alpha Darius has to face down bigoted attacks on his own pack and falls straight into a new attraction with Aislinn. As a hero, he hits the spot hot, hard, protective, and totally alpha. The wolf pack dynamic Conall has chosen for her shifters is fascinating and integral to the story. Meanwhile, Aislinn is trapped between a fiery attraction to the alpha and a human prejudice against shifters that has dominated her whole life.

This story pulls on all the right heartstrings and keeps you whipping through the pages! A must buy if you're like me and enjoy a good romance that goes deeper into exploring some serious human truths.
At $0.99, this romance offers a good solid read and suitable length. This is a werewolf romance with a few explicit sex scenes later on. This is NOT your overused "werewolves living hidden among us" world, but rather an interesting and unique world building experience. The world is changing, and now there are werewolves. The crux of the problem this couple faces is that her father leads a group that is violently opposed to werewolves, and he leads werewolves--the traditional Romeo & Juliet plot, yet nicely done for all that.

While samples of the author's earlier work left me unimpressed, this books shows solid writing, good descriptions, good character building, and overall a pleasant reading experience. Perhaps some of their "we can't be together" moping went on a bit long, but that is a minor complaint. The author didn't put in some of the predictable plot elements I expected at the obvious points, and that really impressed me.

This is a standalone book with minimal point-of-view changes.
While Darius tries to sit down with the General of the Humans First group for peace talks all he can smell is mate. And it takes all of his will to focus on the negotiations. His mate happens to be the generals daughter Aislinn. As she feeds them the wolves smell poison. They get up to leave and are surrounded, so Darius takes Aislinn so they won't shoot at her and can get away with their lives. Can anybody say War? It's the only thing on the generals mind, even if it costs him his daughters life. All Darius wants is peace for the pack and to love his mate. There is a lot to overcome in this story folks. It's fast paced and thrilling and I couldn't put it down. It's a great read.
